"W Drought" is the first segment of the twelfth episode of the first season of WordWorld, and the twenty-third episode overall.
Plot[]
Dog searches for a way to cool off one hot day. He passes by Sheep watering flowers and herself with a hose, Bear taking a shower at her cave, and Frog pedaling a bike to turn a waterwheel and pour water onto himself. Dog goes to his house and drinks water from a bowl. When he finishes, he tries to pour more water from the spout, but only the letters "ATER" come out. The others begin facing similar problems. They all gather to discuss the problem and even ask Mr. Narrator, who says they have a mystery, the mention of which makes Sheep dress as a detective. While searching for clues, she notices Frog's pond is filled with unmorphed letters. Dog fetches the letters and, after comparing them to the word "water" on a chalkboard, Sheep concludes the letter W is missing from all their water. They go to the source of their water at the waterfall by the mountain and find Duck with big piles of Ws. Duck had been knocking the Ws from the waterfall after becoming interested in them, though while unaware of the drought he was causing. When the others point out his mistake, he apologizes and starts feeling thirsty, after which they all throw the Ws into the river and bring back the water. Duck then goes around WordWorld returning more Ws to everyone's water, finishing at Frog's log where he and Dog go for a swim.
